PTC Rocking Chairs


During the 2007 Venturing week at the Philmont Training Center (PTC) , I challenged our faculty and staff to sponsor some rocking chairs for PTC. Even thought PTC is a pretty perfect place, it cried out for rocking chairs.  I thought we would get sponsorships for about three chairs.  We sure were surprised when the group collected enough funds for nineteen chairs.  We ended up buying 11 single chairs and 4 double chairs which you can see in the photos.  Plates are attached recognizing the sponsor or someone the sponsor wanted to dedicate the chair to.

We have some great seats now.  We need to think of a new project for next year.

What a great project done by Venturing volunteers. There were chairs done with the Sea Scout logo on them also. Thanks to all the Venturing volunteers who contribute to this wonderful project
